Samsung Jack users (Blackjack 2) - Help? A little help? I've got a Samsung Blackjack 2 which was originally with AT&T but is now unlocked. I'm on a mobile internet plan but unfortunately Fido won't help me troubleshoot because I didn't buy one of "their" phones. I'm having trouble connecting to the internet and I want to verify my settings against yours. GPRS - Name: Fido GPRS Connects to: The Internet Access point: internet.fido.ca Username: fido Password: fido Authentication Type: None Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0 Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0 IP Address: 0.0.0.0 PROXY - Name: Fido WAP Connects from: The Internet Connects to: WAP Network Proxy (name : port): 205.151.011.011:8080 Type: HTTP Username: fido Password: fido I also have old AT&T information in there which I can't seem to delete or edit, but that shouldn't make a difference should it? Alternatively I've also tried it with the following DNS and IP information in the GPRS settings Primary DNS: 204.92.15.211 Secondary DNS: 204.92.15.212 Whats the deal? Am I retarded? (No offense to any of the resident retards) |
Ok, so I tried the settings on my other phone and it looks like the problem is with the pre-configured AT&T GPRS accounts. I've hard reset my phone and I can't get rid of them. I keep getting the message "This connection is pre-configured. It cannot be modified" Do I need a WinMo hex editor? |
No I didn't. Looks like all I needed to do was use 'File Explorer' to open the application called UAMgr.exe in the Windows folder. It unlocks read-only applications so now I can delete what I don't need. |
Posting from my phone up in this bitch. Thanks for your help! |
