Depends on the car.

What is it?

Regardless, storage is cheap.

Storage insurance covers your vehicle anywhere on your own property. Sometimes, if you live in an apartment, the strata might have their own rules regarding the storage insurance. Roughly insurance for storage usually starts from $30/month

I remember paying something like $30 for 6 months up in squamish, and if you cancel your insurance for storage insurance, you don't have to pay the cancellation fee. which for me, was the same as the storage insurance I wanted to get, so it's almost free.

It covers you on almost ANY private property. One of my cars was stolen from my sister's apartment and was covered. Also, $30 a month sounds excessively high unless is a very new, $50K+ vehicle with extra coverage.
