tips on buying an iPhone 3gs?

hey, I'm looking to buy an iPhone 3gs off craigslist, any tips or concerns I should be worried about? I heard sometimes what a lot of people will do is say their phone is "unlocked" but really only opened up their phones to take out the oem accessories. i'm sure this is true, but how can you avoid it?

how much should i be looking at when it comes to the 32gig 3gs? i see them on cl for 800+ but I don't know what is a good deal and whats not considering that iPhones (especially the 32gigs) are so scarce.

any feedback is appreciated!

why buy from CL? how much do you expect to save?

unfortunately i hear about too many people getting robbed. you sell, the take your phone and run. you buy, they take your cash.

if u think you can trust seller, the phone box will say 32 GB on the BACK at the middle top

the box also obviously should say iPhone 3G S anything less than retail is a good price. considering the scarcity of the phone.

if you insist, meet in a busy place, away from dark alleys and secluded areas. I've done alot of meetings and sold a phone on CL. Just try to be friendly with the seller beforehand.

check to see that the water sensors haven't been tripped (one in the headphone jack hole and one at the bottom by the dock connector in the middle).

once the sensors have turned red / pink, your warranty's up!
