What i do for dips? Impressive?

JuST got back Sparticus, i go there occasionally, i'm 29 5'9 and at the moment i'm 161, pretty much solid muscle, anyways, i did today 2 plates + a 35 (125lbs?) strapped to my waist 6 FULL dips, i thought it was pretty impressive considering i don't know anyone or have never seen someone do that, i'm sure there are many people who can, but i'm wondering if anyone here can do that? w/o weight i can do 47 to 50 (last time i tryed) full dips at one time no f'ing bullshit in case someone may think i'm lying, Also who here can do double there own bodyweight at bench? I can't yet, that would be pretty impressive. Btw i don't take anything either.

I usually finish my workout with dips so I'm pretty dead by then but... I weight 220 and hook up at least a plate and do 12-15 reps. People forget to factor in thier own bodyweight when doing dips and pullups.

Also I bench well over my bodyweight now. I can do 110-115 bumbells and rep 230+ flat bench.

Berz out.

Cool man, i haven't bumped up my BB bench which i should, i'm still not going past just 2 plates 225lbs, 12 reps for me, next chest workout i'm gonna strap 3 plates with the belt and see how many dips i can do, i'll estimate at least 3. oh yeah i'm doing 105 DB's on incline, just 3 reps though.

I LOVE dips! On my last heavy day I did Bodyweight (right now ~190 lbs thanks to creatine ) plus a 45 lbs plate for a 12 rep total (3 sets). I used to be able to do more, but I am cutting right now.

Last night I did bodyweight for 40 total reps. My pecs are brutally sore today, especially combined with the cold I just got

Tis a goal for sure lol. I'm not gonna say never but... to be able to do that I would have to bench 450lbs roughly lol. And I'm going to assume that IF I have that much muscle Im going to be weight more than 225 so the actual weight would be higher. Its a viscious cycle!!!

Berz out.

its not all about weight, it's about quality of the rep. I see people curl like 50's that have the WORST form and is doing absolutley nothing in the long run.

I usually do dips first (you are supposed to do workouts that use more than once muscle group first, and finish on ones that are very centralized to one muscle.).

When I do them I do 3 sets of about 12 with approx 45lbs. I weight 165lbs %6b/fat, unsure of current BMI (6' tall). I feel it a lot the next day. But this is with about 4 other tri workouts. I do tris and chest together.

wtf? your tris must be way out of proportioned out of your upper body push muscles if you can't bench your own weight but can do that much dips (assuming "FULL" means good quality full sets with proper range of motion)?

if you can do that, what is your close grip bench?

(btw i know both of these are compounds and work chest as well, but focuses more on the tris and chest is just secondary)

relax? i misread the thread, i didn't read the middle when the op corrected his post to "double barbell bench press". it is hard to believe someone can dip that much at 160 and can't even bench his own weight?
