| So how/where can i upgrade my math? fuck..
long story short i've already completed a cert at BCIT, but now im looking to go into a full time day program, the "Electronics Technician Common Core" program which almost all first year students in a general tech area seem to have to take to become more specialized
shitty thing is, i was going to night school before because theres no prerequisites, now with this day program i meet all req's except for a "C" in grade 11 math, sad i know
anyways, i'm a decent student but i've always struggled with math, im 23 right now and i've probably forgotten the majority of what ive learned in math, and math 11 was especially difficult for me
what is the best way i can get that C or the equivalent? are there any like slow/intro courses that count for the same credit that are easy to pass?

The adult education centres. Just check on the website for your school district you're in, they should have all the info needed. I'm not sure about the difficulty of these courses though.

^ my math is bad to the point I may not be able to do it..
Anyone ever take it? How much does it cost and is there any penalty for failing it?

If I were in your shoes I would go back to my old highschool and talk to an old teacher that I had to see if I could borrow a math book and then ask if they know of anyone doing any private tutoring sessions. Then set up a study session with the tutor after you have gone though parts of the book to have direct personalized help on what you are having trouble with. Do that a few times and then see if you can have a few copies of the gr 11 math exam from your old highschool then write them as practise. After you've done all that I would write the BCIT exam.
You should get though everything faster and with less cost.

FUCK! I'm in the same fucking boat..
I'm pretty horrible at math and I found out my program needs a C+ in Math 12 which is gay cause I didn't think I'd want to enroll in this program, so I didn't take Math 12 in HS.
I'm going to try MATH 0001 offered by BCIT and instead of taking a year off, I'll just take PT classes and hopefully getting a C+ for MATH 0001 or night school class.
Do you guys know if MATH 0001(or Math 12 equivalent courses in University/Colleges) are harder then HS Math 12?

I'm not sure if the level of difficulty increased, but for sure the pace will be much faster (my highschool didn't do semesters).
I'm very glad the courses I took didn't require much from highschool math, or else I would never make it past 2nd year.

most programs don't really need math like my computer program .
the requirements were math 11 C and from my knowledge i didn't use any HS math at all
all i really needed to know was simple addition subtraction multiplication and division and for some reason most people couldnt do decimal division LOL
and taking math 12 courses in uni/college its like taking a summer course for HS. cram cram cram cram
