apple or berry? i need a new phone apple or blackberry pro and cons and i dont know anything about phone models .. so uhmm yea |
Shouldn't this go into the Mobile Phone area? |
berry if you have a lot of friends with berries. if you're interested more in apps then go with the apple. the choice is simple, the two phones are very different. |
oh and if you choose to go berry, get one with an actual keyboard, meaning not the storm. I've heard stories where you just start to hate the storm on screen keyboard. |
Are you looking to go with a phone upgrade with your carrier or are you going to buy an unlocked phone? What are your cell phone needs? If you're doing an upgrade and are on Fido, I'd go with the Iphone since the only Blackberry they have is the BB Pearl. With Rogers, they have more selection of Blackberry's. If you're with Bell or Telus you'd only be able to upgrade to a Blackberry. If you go to the phone forum and do a search you'll find the answers you're looking for. |
I hate the storm's keyboard. anyhow i chose the berry, i prefer it. don't really need all the apps the iPhone has to offer. personally if you don't know what you want just get a regular phone lol |
im with rogers no contract.. probably will get a phone with contract. |
i guess i did post on the wrong forum haha.. i think im gonna go with the iphone.. thanks guys |

I'd suggest phone forum too. Also are you planning to get a data plan with it too? I've never used an iPhone so I can't speak for the iPhone, but you won't get full BB functionality unless you get a data plan. Yes, it has Wifi, but the implementation of it requires that you have a data plan. If you want to use straight Wifi, you're stuck with only being able to use the BB Browser in Hotspot mode. You won't be able to use your other apps with just Wifi only. |
^ iphone is the same i believe. either way you're kinda wasting money if you get the phone but not the plan to match it. |
iPhone if you want a media center Berry if you want a phone They both do what the other can, just better in some areas than the other one it. The iPhone is epic wins on apps, media, etc but it epic fails on multitasking and isn't as good a "phone" as a solid blackberry. The berry's are good phones, rock solid, but lack in applications and not as good for media. The bright side is that you are limited in space by your media card (16gb now for the Bold I believe. Last I checked, it was limited by software, not hardware for how much it could handle.) Hope that helps a bit. Personally, I'd lean towards the bb Bold. if you can wait a bit, the Bold 9700 will be coming out. |
u can also think of it as if you want a touchscreen based phone or not they both have so many pros and cons that i narrowed it down for myself using that |
ive been using iphone for 2 yrs.... no plans to change to anything else tried N97, Bold, E71, X1, Andriod.... nth works as good as iphone for me |
iPhone - OH LOOK AT ME! i got 10000000 apps for everything Berry - I'm a business guy, with a lot of business friends on bbm n97 - I'm the latest and greatest but my camera cover scratches the camera e71 - i'm like the European berry, slim, sexy, and useful all phones have goods and bads just play with them and you can find the one that YOU like. not everyone will be happy with an iPhone/berry or whatever just try it out |

berry - will get you addicted , its like crack cocaine. got my first berry through work and havn't looked at another phone ever since. also good for students - lets you keep on top of group work via email. berry = get the job done anywhere , anytime. |
