I'd still be picking up a G8 vs this. The SHO seemed very promising but wasn't executed very well IMO.
I do think Ford is on the right track though. The new Mustang is gorgeous in that Smurf Blue. I love the Flex. Can't wait until we start getting the EcoBoost Flex. So unique. I would totally rock that. All Ford needs is for the new V8 to hit the F150 and a more credible minivan and they are leagues ahead of GM/Chrysler.

Those two car weren't really comparable, G37 is lighter and RWD, The sho seems like it has a slushbox, just doesn't look very exciting, suspension looks softer sprung as well

^G8 is way better for performance, more power and about 15k less with discounts (I was quoted about 34k for a GT), Handles better too, Only downside is fuel economy, Possibly awd for those awd lovers out there...
And i don't think you can get GPS on the G8... but with the 15k u save...
G8 looks way better too |

Shows how much more new cars weigh... holy crap... 14.2s 1/4 mile with 365hp and AWD hey.... I used to have a 5spd 1994 Taurus SHO and with a 220hp engine and FWD I ran a 14.7 at Mission haha...
Would have expected more than 1/2 second improvement for 145hp and AWD traction... but I guess it weighs a thousand pounds more or something... too lazy to look it up

the 300C SRT8 is a much better deal, brand new comes in at $42,495 after discounts, performance is better, looks is better.
Pontiac G8 as mentioned earlier is also better
Valiant effort by ford but their pricing is a little too high to compete. Though i will agree there will a be a few people who will buy it just for the SHO name.

Kev | We've just got an ecoboost Flex, our owner is driving it as a demo. It's FLIES. It's also got the 'auto park' feature which is a fun toy.

People with any class whatsoever would not buy their garbage, thus the reason for them having entirely different cars in Europe.

I don't hate domestics, I actually like quite a few models but this SHO is plain ol' ugly, lol. And most people that know their cars will be the first one's to admit that the Jeep SRT-8 is one of the best performance vehicles money can buy. It really is one amazing SUV and it's so damn cheap. It's a shame that Chrysler has ditched the 2010 model and there's some talk Chrysler will stop producing future SRT models which will suck because the 2011 SRT's were suppose to get a 6.4l V8.

This video is hilarious.
Here's the Ford CEO talking about the Taurus with words like:
"An american icon"
"Changed the world in the family sedan catagory"
HAHAHAHAHA
Come on. When I think Taurus, I think "Pontiac Grand Prix, Buick LeSabre, Chevy Malibu", boring mid size domestic junk. Not American Icon.
American Icon is: CORVETTE, MUSTANG, VIPER...

New A5 is only $43,000 but it's a 2.0 but I'll be the first one to admit that the new A4 looks stunning in person especially in white.

I don't doubt the SHO's engine performance, which is very good for the price.
But there are MANY other factors involved - handling, braking, ride quality, steering sharpness, road feel, and then there's looks - the rear of this vehicle is so tall and track so narrow that it doesn't seem aggressive at all compared to most other sport sedans.
Its also true that being a "Ford" kills it - Ford turning a profit does not mean it produces great sport sedans. The main Ford products I see on the road in Vancouver or the States are pick up trucks, compact economy cars, mustangs, but not sport sedans.
In summary, this vehicle seriously lacks a pussy magnet.
