Looking for cheap plans
 

I'm currently using Fido's prepaid account and am paying roughly $30/ month.

I'm looking for a plan that is relatively cheap, 50min day time is fine (if it's to the second billing), with unlimited evening that starts at 5-6pm (hopefully 5pm). Possibly staying with Fido. Do you guys have any suggestions of how I should approach this?

If you walk in a Fido store, would they work out a deal for you? or they can't do anything unless I call in?

I think fido's got some 15-20$ plans with 50-100mins but evenings are at 7. I don't think you can call fido crs right away, usually a few months into your contract.

try taking over someones contract on craigslist, some people are trying to get rid of their grandfathered plans

Ah just remember that almost all plans do not include things like voice mail or caller id

Fido has a plan for $20:
50 min anytime
Unlimited Evening and Weekends at 7pm
50 text messages

If you want early evenings to start at 5pm, you can add it for $6. So your total then is $26 and no system access fee.

Well I end up getting a $25 plan. I have to add call id and voice mail etc etc and it came to $40 a month.

Do they still do iphone without dataplan? I went and ask and they said no.

You can get it without a data plan, but gotta pay full price for the phone then.

what plan has unlimited txt and weekends for under 30?

I've called fido a few times already. I don't feel like bugging them unless it's very important.

what is Unlimited Mobile Browsing?

Does that mean that I can check email using my phone and it's unlimited?

i need a cheaper plan with any company since i'm still a student. I'm starting to find myself in a position where I don't chatt on my phone as much since I spend most of my time in class or studying.

here are my absolute minimum requirements:

100 minutes
50 txt msgs
caller ID

I don't really need voicemail, billing by the second, unlimted after a certain time, and free when calling from the same company. I just need a simple, cheap, student (if this even matter) plan.

what is the best possible price I can get after all the system access fee, and 911 fee? Which company should I lean toward?

It's typically cheaper to stay with the carrier you have. Just talk to their retentions department. If you go to a different provider then you'll probably just get stuck with their typical plans that you can find on their website.
