EG guage cluster - no lights

Signal lights work as do highbeam and gear indicator (auto). So it's just the actual lights for the cluster itself.

I tested the terminals where the bulbs turn on and both sides are getting power when the sw. is turned on. WTF??

Traced it back to the harness on the top left side of the cluster and same thing.

Am I missing something? Short somewhere? Common problem? Could it be the light sw? dimmer sw.?

dimmer switch is most likely. they go often.

take out the dimmer and jump the red wire to the black wire and see if the lights work.
if it does then you need a new switch or keep it jumped since almost no one uses a dimmer.

you get power at the switch and all that is because you're taking signal off of the parking lights. not the actual interior light bulbs.
