This job was my latest detail, also one of my longest at 21 hours. The car needed a real good once over everything and a real good protection since this car is used as a daily driver highway queen.
Under the car was cleaned with citris degreaser and powerwashed
Tires and Wheels got My custom degreaser formula and a good scrubbing
Wheels polished with Mothers Metal Polish
Car was then washed with Meguires Gold Class w/a little degreaser mixed in
Clayed with Meguires Mild Clay w/Quick Detailer as lube
Then rewashed useing Gold Class and dryed useing a Waffle Weave Towel
Onto the polishing started with Menz Power Finish w/LC Green Pad
The paint on this car was deadly hard and it took 2 passes to really make a difference, so I switched to a LC Orange pad. Most of the car still took 2 passes but it looked a lot better. Must I add I really love the Gloss It Pad Prime. It works awesome, I cant see being without it now.
After getting the car to acceptable standards the Jeweling began and I used the 85RD with a LC Black pad.
For the LSP's it started with the DG 601 followed but DG 105 and that was left to cure on for an hour before removing. Followed by another coat of 105 just to ensure even coverage, this was all applyed by hand.
Lastly just to top it off I used some P21S Wax, just because I like topping sealent with a little nuba.
The car seemed decent upon arrival and had a nice gloss to it but upon looking at it the sun revealed tons of swirls, scratches, pitting and the usual for a daily driver. I dont think this car has ever seen wax. Anyways onto some pics.
Heres the car upon arrival, a few pics in the sun.
All the swirls pretty much sum up the whole car. Now onto a few 50/50 snf polishing shots. I thought I took more but I was having camera issues and had to switch so maybe I lost some. Heres a few.
A shot of the trunk
One pass with a LC Green Pad
A shot of the Rear Bumper. The big main scratch was down to the plastic but I did what I could
Another shot of one pass with the LC Orange Pad
And a Finished shot
Swirls in the door
One pass
Hood all polished up. Here you can see the few daily driver rock chips and pits
Curing in the 601 and 105
And a few finished shots
Couple minor swirls left. I didnt want to chance polishing to much more.
Hope you enjoyed the pics, the car was a pleasure.
