After selling their Protege 5 to my sister, my parents were looking at the Matrix. I told them that it was a weak ass car, took my dad to test drive the Matrix, then test drive the Mazda3 right afterwards. Parents were impressed, I did all the talking and everything was setup. All they had to do was go in and sign the papers. They came home with a Mazda6

Our family has a Dodge Caravan from 1996. My dad wants to trade it in and get a new Caravan. :(

^my dad has a 2000 caravan with 300k on it for his work. the rad leaked and he went to trade it in they said they'd give him $500. he got the rad fixed for cheap. really reliable car! 300k and this is its first problem. his next van will be another caravan.

Nah, this was back in '05. I wouldn't tell my parents to buy the current Mazda's, they're too ricey for people in their late 50's.
