I'm just throwing this out there, but does anyone know where the exact location is for the old Denman rink where the Vancouver Millionaires played in.
Just that with the Heritage classic happening today, they showed pictures of the old rink but there isn't much about where it was and what happened to it.
I know it is near the entrance to Stanley Park.

The arena was located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Denman and West Georgia Streets, the present site of Devonian Harbour Park, and just a short streetcar ride away from the Central Business District.

Daphne Bramham: The end of an era for a beloved small business

I cannot believe it. Dude is still there. I remember that family. I hung out there every day. I have to go say hi, before they close down.

I remember when the twins were born. So funny - he always looked like that. Hasn't changed a bit. The mom was a really nice lady and the dad was just as nice. I spent hours there reading the comics and buying freezies with the money I earned at the baseball park. Never got kicked out, since I made sure the pages stayed pristine. I know nothing is forever, but my memories of that place will always be 1080 sharp.

I'm teary eyed as I type this........... this story brings back all the good memories. The single older gents in the DTES who had a hand in raising me with their wisdom and kindness. Damn........... I was ever so lucky.
