I remember when the London Drugs on Victoria and 41st was built, but I don't remember what was there before. Does anyone remember? Also a lot of the LD around the city are on a strip mall type property where they are the major anchor. Does HY Louie actually own all these properties? |

there was a korean congregation at the strathcona church at pender and princess, directly across from the elementary school. i went there from around 2001 to maybe 2005 until i shunned the lord and converted to satanism. |
Wow, that was the old St. Francis Xavier Church before the moved to Great Northern Way. We were out of Strathcona in 2000. |
It became an annex at one point. Strath was bursting at the seams when I went. Just under 1500 students. Best hot lunch programme and the meanest bitch of a dentist. We were forced to go. Twice a year................ had nightmares because of her. Principal Barton was stern but nice. Later, VP Mr. Eton. Lol, we made his life miserable. I think we made him quit. https://blogs.vsb.bc.ca/heritage/201...entary-school/ That pic of the public library bus. It was so cool. The space where it parked was where we played street hockey. |

That development still feels new to me. |
What the heck, how did the thread get closed?! |
What you talking 'bout, Willis? |
Holy crap............ just spent the last hour or so checking out this thread from the beginning. Crazy how things have changed so much since the original post. Best part is remembering the old members who used to frequent RS back then........ |

https://maps.app.goo.gl/xBLXtZPK9EZb67HQ7 if you guys ever noticed this random gap on the centre median island of E Broadway just east of Renfrew. It doesn't line up with anything, no back lane or driveway. Probably the last remnant of the old Renfrew bus loop for the #9 buses to turn back onto westbound Broadway |
Vancouver History Do you agree with this map? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...1b93fff1ae.jpg Here is what it had to say about some areas in Metro Vancouver. Stanley Park = When you start regretting the long walk Coal Harbour = Mainly empty million dollar condos Downtown Westside = Afternoon Beers UBC – Depressed Students BCIT – Four years of school in two SFU = The Lonely Mountain Lonsdale = Like Granville Island but less busy Richmond = bubble tea, bubble tea, bubble tea New Westminster = Can’t afford Gastown so I moved here George Massey Tunnel = The Gridlock Abyssal Seymour Mountain = poor man’s cypress Grouse Mountain = third best ski hill Port Moody = beer! White Rock = Kits of South Surrey Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

^ that explains a lot. i always wondered why it was so much infinitely easier to get parking on that structure, and it turns out it was because everybody's like you! |

Just don't back into the spots on the north side. The metal railings on top of the wall are angled in 45 degrees. I've seen SUV windows get smashed/lid damage from people backing in. Also that one spot where the stairs are looks tempting until some jackass in a truck parks in the driving lane because the can't find a spot. |
That parking lot really stands out in my memory because the material they use on the floor makes that "squishy" rubber sound lol. |
It squeaks even when you walk on it with runners! |
this popped up on my youtube. thought you might like |
