Stupid Question: 7g Accord

So I've been meaning to ask for a while now and completely forgot to do so. I'm just curious what the "Auto" button on the HVAC system on the 7g Accords does. The car didn't come with a Manual, so I've nothing to cross reference with and any search I do online simply talks about automatic transmissions...

Its for automatic climate control. It adjusts temperature, fan speed, ac on/off and vent directions automatically.

It's based off a couple of sensors, so in the winter time if you leave it on auto, it'd blast full defrost, ac, and hot air until the cabin was heated up. if you did it in the summer it'd blast full in your face, ac, cold air until its cold.

^ exactly

I never have mine on auto ...well full auto anyways

you can set the fan speed where the air comes from a/c recir. lot of different things it does by itself but with "full auto" it just does it all

Yeah, I've determined I'm not a fan of Auto. I like the inside temperature a certain way, and I doubt the computer will be able to figure it out for me.

Thanks for getting me in the loop though.

I like the classic "blue to red" dial/knob better...
and I hate how when I just want outside air in the car I gotta press the blue button until it displays "LO" and then turn the AC off manually...

I never use auto mode. Manual mode works better for me.

Good to know I'm not the only one who dislikes the "Auto" mode.

auto mode works well, I love it when I autostart my car. By the time I get there it's nice and warm
