PS. Here are some pics of the suspected theives if anyone recognizes them:

i wish you the best of luck. you have a lot more to work with then what i had back in the day when my motorcycle was stolen from the underground, DVDs were too new for security purposes and they were still using VHS tapes on continuous record, which meant by the time i found out it was stolen, all the overnight footage had already been overwritten

Looks like Rich's car has been found!!!!

Holly & Dustin spotted it on a flat deck in Richmond Wednesday morning. They started to follow it, and the truck tried to out run them! Idiot, like you can outrun a twin turbo Z!

They called the police, who promptly showed up and arrested the driver!

From the outside, it looks like the car is mostly unharmed, hopefully the same is true inside!

Nice work Holly & Dustin!!!!! Power of the internet bitches!

THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

THANKS to everyone who was on the lookout for my car! Extra big thanks
to Holly and Dustin! It's amazing it was recovered and if not for them, it
was probably about to disappear forever.
Thanks to Mike M. and $$$$$ for all the help with posting and coordinating
during this stressful time!

now... if an when they do catch these crooks, will they get prosecuted/jailed or just a slap on the wrist?

Awesome news! Please keep us updated on the situation, OP! I hope the thieves get caught and punished with more than a slap on the wrist.

Well, they broke into the building, disabled the garage gate, broke into my gf's car (parked beside my Z), and then stole my car... so I would think they should be convicted of at least one count of B&E, several counts of vandalism, and of course, grand theft auto. These guys knew what they were after, and knew how to get it so I'm sure they've already got long rap sheets. Apparently theft of a vehicle worth over $5,000 carries a max penalty of up to 10 years in prison. They may be charged with CCC 335(1) Taking motor vehicle without consent; that carries a maximum 2 years/$2000 penalty. Even two years behind bars would make me smile.

The car has an alarm system with starter kill, proximity sensors, and a paging remote... and more in the future.

Glad ya got it back. I'd be pissed as hell if my car was stolen, much like everyone else on this forum. Hope they get some sort of punishment.

wow holly shit, congrats dude..definitely a touching story

who is holly and rich? are they from revscene? did revscene saved the day?

fucking thives, its definitely great timing for someone to spot ur ride at the right place. I really hope these assholes learn their lessons and show more respect towards people's properties. Just because one envys another ones ride or needs fast cash doesnt mean u can start stealing shit. Fucking low, hate car thives. these guys obviously are quite professional at what they are doing

Seriously hope these mofos learns their lesson and NOT getting a slap on the wrist (again?) , despite our weak justice. Sigh.

HOLLYZ32 is a few posts up.

I think I speak for some of us, If I saw My car, or a friends car on a flatbed, the cops wouldn't have been called.
