Smart of them, at least they didn't name this the R20T; but I like the MKV a lot more.

Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

have you tried one of the MK4 or MK5 R32? I think that'd be a more accurate comparison. Audis as a whole are known to be front heavy. I would think the old R32 GTIs have the suspension/balance dialed in better.

like danizer said, you don't have to pay the state tax if you're from Canada. I have a friend who bought a brand new Toyota from Washington and he didn't have to pay Washington state tax.

I don't get the problems with traction... its all about throttle control... just don't mash the pedal... I have more power than the average 2.0t owner and I have no issues...

Also better tires could help too... when i had CH's wrapped in KDW's I had no issues... LSD helps a bit motor mounts help a bit... but in the end just control your foot especially if you drive a DSG...

-----

And from what I hear from solid sources... Golf R is coming to Canada... And the other rumor is that Scirocco will make an appearance as well...

yes I have an LSD...

But that only makes so much difference in slippery conditions... throttle control is the clear winner...

And snow driving is FUN... I loved bombing through the snow last year!

Too bad I won't be experiencing it in my beast this year...

i don't have the engine mounts either... i know they really cut down on the wheel hop, but i don't think i can stand all the vibrations.

have you taken your GLI to the track yet? any dyno numbers?

Unfortunately, Volkswagen Canada could only confirm what would not be coming to Canada: the new all-wheel-drive 270 hp Golf R hot hatch and 3.3 L/100 km (85 m.p.g.) subcompact Polo BlueMotion three-door that debuted here.

It's not really a big deal you know, if you really want it just go to the US and buy one and import it... it's soooooo simple and it wouldn't cost any more than buying one here (maybe even cheaper!) especially now with the awesome exchange rate

As for mph guages... big deal, I've been driving US imported cars for 6 years and before that my 68 Mustang never even had km/h on it, you either learn to look at the smaller numbers or you remember what speeds are in MPH... 40=60, 50=80, 60=100. So simple!

The only argument for/against is whether VW honours their warranties and that I am not sure of but I've never been one to care about warranties, any car I ever owned was out of warranty or never needed work... then again this is a VW so...........
