Bold: SIM not provisioned: 2

I just bought a bold today. It's a few months old. It's unlocked but originally from Rogers. Anyway..

I put my rogers sim card in it and it says sim not provisioned: 2.. and it's also in SOS meaning no service. I insert my fido sim card and it has full service.

I tried..

power off battery pull/ sim pull
power off battery pull
battery pull
updated to .190 (latest firmware)
power off battery pull/ sim pull

nothing is working.

I googled my prob but couldnt find an answer to this except buy a new sim card and even then ppl had the same prob. Ppl also siad its not the actual device. I just bought this sim card 2 days ago and I called rogers to activate my new SIM and they said it was good to go for when my new phone comes. (which was today)...

Only thing to note is that I inserted my Fido sim card from my fido phone and it worked fine. I had fido service and could make and receive phone calls on that network with that sim card.

I must be the sim card then... what do u guys think?

EDIT: Do i have to change or add a phone number for the sim card under the advanced options/ sim card setting??? cuz right now there is no mobile number in there. I typed my number in there but didnt change anything. But i know thats not my real real number cuz my phone bill has like some weird diff number. Unfortunately i dont know that number cuz i havent seen a bill in a few months lol. this is so gay i am prob just gonna go into rogers tomorrow and talk to them.

Cant help you on the edit but, likely it is your sim. I'm sure you have buddies on the Rogers network, you can try sticking theirs in. Where'd you get your sim?

Yea my friend is coming over and I will steal her sim and see if it works. She should be here in half hr. You're gonna laugh I was with a buddy in this shady Bell mobility store and they had some Rogers sim cards under the counter and I bought one from there out of convenience. It was still in its original wrapping and everything so I thought nothing of it lol that store also sold used rogers and telus phones.
