Does the fog lights turn on when you turn a corner? They seem to be angled to the sides.

ugh want it now! i don't think i'd be able to deal without a standard transmission! | I picked up the black one they had... it had been sitting in the showroom as a show car before they moved it out. Apparently I was the first customer to drive it, because they moved it out the day before I came, haha.
Didn't want the 18's or navigation because it adds to the cost, and I'd probably swap the wheels anyways, so what's the point?
They have a white, manual 2-door with navigation/Dynaudio but no leather MkVI GTI at Clarkdale right now. $33k plus freight/PDI and tax. It has the 18" Huffs as well.
Go buy it! Go see Terry at Clarkdale, hehe.
Oh, I also met Kendall the other day. She's pretty knowledgeable/awesome! Quote:

It's awesome when you're taking twisties...

^You can use the fog lights as cornering lights. You will need a VAGcom to activate it. I read on the VWVortex site that you can order a 2010 Mk6 GTI in shark blue. I went to the Kelowna VW dealership earlier and they said it's not possible.
I really really want a blue GTI

In day to day driving though, I find that the low-beam and high-beam HIDs are VERY good in terms of coverage/brightness, and I don't really need the foglights for extra illumination.
When we get fog I will give you more information on how well they work in that, haha.
That, or when I hit up the old Sea to Sky or Sumas Mountain Road after exams.
too_slow, thanks for the info. When I meet a VAG-com I will be sure to activate that function.

the original fogs on my mk5 were crap. it's too bad the mk6 dosen't sound like it's any better. i ended up getting oem glass projectors instead with an hid conversion from LudeS and now they actually do something for a change

I'm this close from ordering a 5Dr TR 6spd GTi. I like the plaid seats, so I'll probably only add the moonroof as an option. Like Roastpuff, the Denvers are sufficient (I'll replace the tires with snowS) and probably get a set of those HRE reps (VMRs) later on. I want the Dynaudio, but don't want the NAV.
Hmm...

The GTi will always be around, you might as well wait for the Golf-R.
I'm doing the same thing... If the ultimate hot hatch doesn't come around, I'll be ready to either buy a new 3 door GTi or used RS4.

I don't think I can really get projectors to replace the foglights due to their unique shape/location, though they work very well for side and front-lighting when turned on.

i'm learning to like the new grille, but i'm having trouble with the tail lights. has anyone tried smoking the white strips yet, or redding them out so it's more a one-piece look?

I have ordered a MKVI, in Carbon Steel with DSG 3 Door, I cannot wait til it arrives.
The LED Tails have been announced optional on all Golf Models in Europe (ala 2010 R32). I am hoping I can retrofit those tails onto my own MKVI sometime next year. They look great!
