Aesthetically, I agree WolfGang. However, the OEM seats have no lateral support and you need at least a bit when it comes to a Beetle with stiff suspension |

always been a fan of these old school beetles. my wife bought a new beetle tdi which i only like for the mpg. these old ones ive alwaays wanted to have one day and tune them up but i would try to find a 60s or a 50s one. that being said yours is awesome and im sure the money put into it has been a pretty penny.
my uncle has a buddy that is a beetle fanatic and i know hes dumped over 100 grand into his and he also has a ghia with about the same amount in it. as well as a drag beetle that runs in the 9 second range i think. im sure youve heard of him.

that thing is fcukin' rad!! Reminds me of a friends from high school. Not necessarily the color/style but more the work put into it. I applaud your commitment as VW is such a love/hate relationship. I secretly love the MkI and MkII chassis and will build one eventually. I was the lonely JDM white guy among a sea of VW friends back in the day.
