As some of you know, I bought this motor and installed it in my EG prepared for autocross. This motor is everything that it is supposed to be but I want to do something realllllly silly and drop and build a truly stupid K24 to put into it so this one needs to go.
Before we start, lets get a few things out of the way - first, this swap is not cheap. This build has had no expense spared and while there may be cheaper swaps around, I am confident that there is no better, ready to go swap. That being said, please keep any negative comments to yourself, or send me a note if you must. Second, the swap is still in my car, I am done racing for the season and with a deposit I will have it removed from my car. I dont mind showing the motor and taking any serious buyers on a test drive. Third, yes, I am willing to sell less than the complete swap but will not part anything until the motor/transmission are spoken for.
All parts were purchased new unless otherwise stated and I have receipts (including thousands in labour, eek) for damn near everything.
The motor had 62,950km when I bought it, 7,650km since the previous owner bought it and had it rebuilt and upgraded. It has traveled between 1000 and 1500kms since I've had it. When I first installed the motor with stock PCV system the motor would smoke under aggressive cornering but since Garage Five added a catch can, it has been flawless. The motor and transmission are the rare and desireable 2000 JDM B18C-R motor/trans with the 4.78 JDM FD in excellent shape with no grinds, filled with Redline fluids. The oil has seen nothing but redline fluids since I have it, new timing belt and water pump (despite the old one being only 7,000kms old because it was the "right" thing to do with it all apart), etc.
These parts were installed when it was rebuilt by the previous owner:
Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch ($760)
Hasport 62A Mounts ($460)
Mugen Head Gasket ($200)
ACT B-Series Pro-Lite 8.8lb Flywheel ($350)
DC Sports 4-1 Type-R Ceramic Header ($480)
Golden Eagle Black Fuel Rail ($150)
B&M FPR, gauge ($95)
Skunk2 Short Shifter ($130)
ES SHifter Bushings ($15)
Edelbrock B18C5 Throttle Body ($415)
MSD Wires ($85)
MSD Cap ($55)
MSD E-Core ($56)
OEM T-Belt Tensioner ($95)
Golden Eagle Head Studs ($130)
Replaced/Upgraded during my refresh & install (1000-1500kms old)
OEM Water Pump ($135)
Toda T-Belt ($200)
Skunk2 Pro 1 Cams ($480)
Skunk2 Pro Series Valve Spring Set ($330)
Skunk2 Titanium Retainers ($205)
Hondata S100 ($205)
Comptech Icebox Intake ($395)
Precision Fuel Injectors ($300)
Moroso Steel Road Race Oil Pan (+2L) ($301)
Rebuild passenger side ITR axle ($130 parts/labour)
In addition to the parts included, it has thousands of dollars in labour and assembly. Most of the parts have been purchased from Garage Five who has also done most of the work on the motor. The cost of setting up the Hondata and tuning the motor was $480 alone. The labour to install the oilpan, cams and valvetrain, degree the cams, etc was over $500.
[b]The value in receipts for parts alone is $12,117 + taxes for a total of $13,571. On top of this, I have approximately $2500 in receipts for labour. This swap is COMPLETE and ready to bolt into your EG in an afternoon (comes with shift linkage, ITR axles, Hasport mounts, EVERYTHING you need).
