Anyone else looking forward to this? I watched the original when I was a kid 25 years ago or so and now they redid it. This show was the shit in the early 80's although watching the original now it looks like 80's cheese. I hope this one is decent.
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place... and I donīt care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently, if you let it. You, me or nobody, is gonna hit as hard as life. But ain't about how hard you hit... It's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward... how much you can take, and keep moving forward. Thatīs how winning is done. Now, if you know what you worth, go out and get what you worth. - Rocky Balboa
One of my former co-workers from SV is one of the female leads on V and just from talking to her I'm not too sure this show will survive, theres been a who bunch of production problems and script issues. The studio already shut down production on V last month for 16 days because of script & creative problems and now production has shut down again for another 2 weeks. The production is becoming a bit of a clusterfuck.
All I remember about the original series are the commercials, and they kind of scared the shit out of me.. I think I would have been 4 or 5 at the time.

Loved the premiere. Having not seen the miniseries in the 80s I didn't know the basic storyline and thought it was a little slow for the first half. Once they reveal where they are going with the show I was hooked. What did you guys think?
Spoiler!
I was excited to see Alan Tudyk was a V but I got really worried when he got stabbed. "Kill off already?!?!?!!!! WHY MUST WASH ALWAYS DIE?????" Then I saw the trailer for next week and he's still in it... hewf.
I watched the early one as well and thought it was pretty good. It seems to be the same story as the original which is cool, I watch at least a couple more episodes and see where it goes.

i didn't know what the show was but when i was flipping through channels it looked pretty crazy just watching a few minutes of it, didn't know it was "V"

i read somewhere that he was signed up for at least 3 episodes, so that may mean he's either:
1. guest cast member only
2. gonna get a stake in the chest from a V reaver soon?
poor wash

OMG I recognized almost every setting they shot at lol. Its like the V's visited Vancouver!
BTW are any of the producers or something related to Serenity/Firefly? I noticed they hired two actors from Serenity which I found odd.
Likely just a coincidence that there are two actors from Firefly in the show. If there were more I would be more suspicious. Sci-fi actors often join other sci-fi shows for some reason. It definitely wasn't a coincidence that Alan Tudyk was on Dollhouse however.

This week's Castle, Nathan Fillion dresses up for Hallowe'en looking pretty much like Malcolm Reynolds There were a few Buffy references as well
