where do i buy new gear, westbeach? how much shuld i spend for board, binding, boots i don't use rails and boxes, just ramps and the sides of the mountains. looking for something thats responsive. |
What size board is everyone riding? height ? riding style? I'm 6 foot riding a 153 and its time for a new board this season thinking of getting a longer board probably a 157. mostly back woods riding I try to find as much fresh powder as I can. Stick mostly to blue and black runs the rest of the time. I'm a little hesitant about going longer though because I want to start riding some park this year. |
is it ok to wear a skateboarding helmet with a toque under as a snowboarding helmet? |
i'm 6'2 riding a 157 i think. i just started riding in the woods and it boosted my ability to control my board. i like freeriding but i still try to hit up the terrain park to work on some basic tricks. |

To be honest, I highly recommend wearing one, whether you're good at snowboarding, or if you're just starting. I've had some nasty spills in which I had hit my head and ended the day right there. ie: Going near top speed and catching an edge, slipping off a rail and having my head hit it. |

A skateboard helmet is essentially a snowboard helmet since it doesn't have the winter foamie stuff or the ear covers. A snowboard helmet has less vents, if not closing vents to prevent head chill. There are many helmet liners and helmet beanies that you can buy to cover your head if you need more warmth. As for body protection? Look at Dainese, Alpinestars, Crashpadz, and any bicycle shop as they usually sell body protection that won't hamper your movement. Bear in mind that you do have to consider your outerware since it may not fit over what you are wearing. Unless you like it ghetto gangsta ;) |

Hit up Big White everyone. It was the best experience for me. The runs on the mountain were sooo long. Way better then cypress. |
I go to big white every year for a couple of nights. Do you rent a place in the village or stay in the city? |
im off to big white for opening day, we booked early so for 3 of us it was under a grand for a place that we can board to in the village and passes for 4 nights and 5 days. |
lucky you i cant wait to ride still need a place to tune/sharpen my board any recommendations? |

I just don't know where any of my wax is. I think my movers tossed whatever looked like garbage in the move. |
since everyone so knowledgeable... can someone recommend me a goggle?? im looking for something wide frame that give the best vision?? too many choices makes it confusing thanks |
ohh sweet thnx man |
most all modern goggleys will have a wide peripheral for you. but what you need to focus on is the fitment on your bridge. some goggleys won't fit on a small bridge and some do. Can't suggest a frame till you go and try some on. |
goggles can get very expensive....whats your price range? |

Sometimes the best goggles aren't the most expensive. remember not everyone can afford what seems to be the best. |
