pre snowboarding season since summers gone i cant stop thinking about snowboarding just staring at my board anyone doing the same thing? |
broke my ankle last january, and i bought a whole new set up. been sitting in my garage. been waiting to release the beast ! |
ouch lucky you wit a new setup im thinking new boots first cause im not getting enuff response off my bindings maybe cause my boots are a size big hahah |
bought new snow gear. Im ready to use it! fack my snow gear has just been in my closet for so long. I just want to go outside and use it on a grass hill... can't wait. i bought a pass for grouse. :D |
anyone know if they are gonna increase the pricings on the mountains? Also, whats the diff between cypress and grouse? ive gone to cypress like 20 times but havn't been to grouse once.. |
i like cypress better grouse at the end of the day is kinda gay walking back to the cable car being in there wit everyone smelling yeah no thnx lol |
its gonna be packed on both cypress and whistler and we all know it sucks on seymour and grouse. so where are u guys planning to go boarding instead? or are u just gonna suck it up in a crowded mountain? |
wanna try big white and some other mountains any opinions? |
im thinking of joining some university club ski trips... big white / sun peaks? which one is better? how are the hotels? |
can't wait.... also gonna order a camera that i can strap to a helmet. |

Not going to get much boarding done in feb/march. Thats gonna suck. Been thinking about boarding almost everyday lately. |
I've been itching to get back out there since the season ended but even more so since buying my pass in june. Sun Peaks has a couple inches of snow, so I'm praying the season will be as good or better than last year. 2 more months :D |
why wait? there's snow atop baker right now, if you want to get your legs and core in shape, i say start HIKIN! every season, cept the last, we hike and build a monster booter at baker to get us in shape. |
what's the hike like? that sounds very tempting, lol |
awesome vangruver is here now its a thread |

think of it as a mild uphill hike but with lots of beer, and your gear, sometimes a shovel or three, and camera equipment. oh wait, that's just us. its a pretty mild hike but a little tougher only because of the gear you carry |

I should see if the brother wants to do this. How do you get there and all that fun stuff, lol? |
If you are coming west, take the Sumas exit off of highway #1 That's the closest one to Mt. Baker. As you cross the border, WATCH YOUR SPEED. Sumas is notorious for catching Canucks going over 30MPH. After that, just follow the signs. and BAM in about an hour [depending on how fast you drive] you'll be atop baker and ready to hike. |
yeah I'd be coming from Kamloops. Approx how long of a hike is this? I wonder about avalanches though too :S thanks for the info :) |
