dandruff problem

Okay I've searched it on revscene and I couldn't find a dandruff thread.

For the past little while I've have excessive dandruff, as in actually large white peices of dead skin comming off. I was wondering what the fuck was going on.

I use:
tresemme shampoo - (once every 2 days, unless I've put stuff into my hair in which case it'll sometimes be once a day)

tresemme conditioner - (Once every 2-3 days)

gatsby/some other clay product - maybe twice a week

So am I shampooing too much? or should I switch to a new shampoo or something. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Excessive sugar intake, stress, and shampooing too much or less can cause dandruff.

I have heard of using apply cyder vinegar for dandruff but I have not tried this myself.

This is a good site.

I heard the weather could be a reason for dandruff.
How long has it been going on for? weeks, months?

your scalp can flake from being exposed to the sun, and excessive use of hair dryer.
The vinegar is a solution.

Quote:
• Add six spoonfuls water, two spoonfuls pure vinegar and apply it on the scalp with cotton wool before going to bed. Tie a towel around your head to protect the pillow. Wash your hair next morning.

Wow completely forgot about this hahaha.

Um I've been using tresemme for about a year now? I read somewhere before that I should switch every few months, but I'm not sure how reliable that information is. I'm not too stressed out so I think I could rule that one out. I've stopped using clay/hair products completely, and I've been air drying everyday for almost a month, still got quite a bit of dandruf at times.

I'll try the vinegar in the weekend. Thanks for the replies
