Nokia (5800XM) update question.

I bought the 5800 when it first came out in HK near winter 08 into new years. The phone was running on first version of firmware and I haven't updated it since. Recently my friend updated his N96 and said that the phone was so much faster and better so I decided to update mine.

After updating, I noticed SIGNIFICANT improvement in speed and the animations for random stuff but thats it!
I checked the firmware version is 21.0.101 but on the internet, it says the latest one is 31.0.008. I tried to update to that but the phone and nokia updater doesnt seem to find that firmware.

Anyone out there with a 5800XM or knows why I cant get the V31 firmware?

Wrong product code. Probably available for a different one, even if it's the same version of the phone.

i dont get it...is it cuz my phone was like the first shipment? my cousin has same exact phone...bought from HK as well but she bought it like 3 months later...

Could well be. Is it the same colour as your cousin? The product codes are different.
