my friend works there, why won't they give you your deposit back?
they cannot keep your deposit. It is 100% refundable. UNLESS, you made a "partial payment"

define "having trouble"

walk in, demand you deposit, get it, walk out.

how hard can it be?

If they fail to cooperate, threaten them with legal action and VSA.

If they still fail to cooperate, report them to VSA.

I work for OpenRoad. Can you give some more information on your situation such as your name, amount of deposit and who you dealt with? I can try and help assuming it's a reasonable situation. Feel free to PM if you don't want it on the forum.

Thanks,

Kev

Genesis Coupe with premium package.

I've spoken with another salesperson at Hyundai and have a pretty good deal. PM me what he can offer me and I'll PM you back with what I am currently being offered.

Not looking to buy till after the winter. Just FYI.

the only reason you can't get your deposit back is if you made a "partial payment" Deposit is always refundable.

If you are buying after winter then get a price then. The program changes monthly so don't assume you'd get the same price at that time. It might be higher or it could be lower. Nobody knows.

Fair enough. I just like to weigh my options. The one I have is most likely going to be set as "the standard" where all other offers/deals will be compared to the original and see which is most closely similar or the one that surpasses it.

bad experience when I was car shopping (back in November).
I asked about trim levels, and the guy thinks I'm buying the car, so he sits us down and starts to discuss payment options and bank information with my parents. I told him "I'm merely looking right now, with no plans to buy at the moment". He looked confused, and kept asking "What have I done wrong, how can I keep your business"... we walked.
