Looking at a car from the States.

Alright, so I've been browsing around for a R32 skyline for quite sometime. I came across this http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rd...416826104.html

Now the lady claims the car is BC registered and even gave me a VIN#. She claims she's been driving around with day permits. Now, is it possible to purchase permits for a Canadian car from a US DMV? Would it even be possible since the car is illegal to license in the states?

Any input is greatly appreciated, she's meeting up with me tomorrow by the border for a viewing.
