he said tuners, not the forum
CGmotorsport and Nixon comes to my mind. I've been to both, and had no problem with their service
I find CG to be more experienced with newer bimmers like E90/92, etc... Oh, and CG offers small discount for Bimmerpost members

I recommend CG Motorsports as well, they've done good work on my M3. www.cgmotorsports.com

Nixon is ok in terms of what they do, but you also have to have some knowledge in your products. I went in for a brake repair once, and gave me the wrong brake pad. However, they refunded the money without any issue.. Just had to drive a long distance to get the refund.
CG is good, but there is this old guy that i pretty grumpy impatient, especially to young "non-white" kids

Nixon fucked up a front rotor/pad/caliper replacement on mine. Used reman'd calipers, but one of them used the wrong sized seals, causing the caliper to drag, warping my rotor and basically required me to replace both calipers and pads on the front.
CG is no good either, went there for a water pump/timing belt job with coolant hose replacement, they left a bunch of hose clamps loose causing leaks all over my engine bay after a week or two. They overcharge on a lot of stuff too. Gotta keep the lights on on their crazy fancy new shop! As for the old white guy (Rudy) he was pretty patient and friendly with me on the phone; maybe coz I own an older BMW rather than a brand spankin' new one.
For late model BMW, take it to Karl at The Euro Shop: http://theeuro-shop.com/Home_Page.php
For early model BMW, take it to Karl's old partner Al. No website or anything, strictly by referral. If anybody is interested PM me.

so what you're saying is... If I see high end cars in front a repair shop getting work done, my first impression would be that they suck? Wow i guess i got it all wrong.
