^except you'll be paying out the butt for retained value, but it's not a big deal when the car's that cheap and it's about 5k cheaper than said nissan cube with taxes and discounts in, and 5 years down the road I doubt this will be worth that much less.

the price was alright for the ride...again to me, the ride was average...but average to me is good...coupled with a low price, then it becomes great...wife doesn't want it though because it seems that there is not much leg room in the back and i agree...
you know the price on it went up, right? there was a thread in redflag that the car was priced 11-12k in ontario and 14k here...grrr...i guess i'll let them have that since the leafs suck so much

^Or just brought over the brand, I'd much rather drive an opel than a saturn!
Two decades might be a bit of a stretch though, but definitely within the last 10 years there have been some pretty nice opels, speedster anyone?

Lol i don't mind the auto, I just prefer 5 speed cos it's cheaper >.<
I haven't even test driven it, frankly I don't think it'll be any more fun anyways based on my experience with the base civic.

*if you find that manual!
11-14k car. Run it to the ground....drive it as a beater, trade in value or used sales value won't be any good anyways. Why not when you're looking at a say another new car down the road, use this as your beater.

I'll run the Z to the ground
but yeah, definitely retained value isn't important in a 13k car, they should be fairly reliable as long as you keep them maintained, If the engine blows do I smell cobalt SS turbo?
LOL yeah danizer, I'm still kinda iffy on the brand >.< not so much the age thing, the car looks pretty hip-ish (considering it's 5 years old...) but the brand... most often associated with possibly the most undesirable cars!
And yeah didn't I tell you i was in grade 12 in your intro thread?

There's a few manual Astras here in Kelowna.. :P
I popped over to the Saturn dealership after seeing the page on RFD about Astras going out the door for $13k (taxes included!!!!)
BTW, an Astra drives much nicer than a Honda Civic LX, and is much much more upscale inside.. The shifter have really long throws.. The interior has the same 'upscale' feeling as a MK5 Rabbit..
I was hoping to snatch a 3dr XR for under $15k..
