It seems that Rogers users are getting decent speeds with a USB adapter, but not their phones. What gives?

Discrimination, that's what. i'm posting this at a quarter of the advertised available speed (7.2 Mbps) and half of what my phone is capable of (3.6 Mbps).

Weird...so this is the 3G speedtest on my Fido iPhone:
And this is the 3G speedtest on my laptop tethered to my iPhone via USB:
I ran the test multiple times on both devices and the numbers don't change much. Weird that my tethered speed is slower.

I guess tethering slows it down somehow.
My "7.2 Mbps" speed has never gone over 2 Mbps. EVER.

N900 directly on wifi. (browser in N900)
N900 going thru my E71 with Joikuspot to share the 3G (browser in N900)
