Traveling during Olympics?

I was just wondering.. Since most university students get 2 weeks off from school in February, would airfare be expensive or cheap during that time?
(im looking at going back to HK for those 2 weeks)

Thanks

the most expensive plane tickets are when the students are on vacation. in face those times provide airplane company with majority of the earning. that and first class.

so common sense would be it will be expensive

u can probably get it for cheaper if you are willing to leave a bit early when student are still in school and come back a bit later and miss a few days of school

the design of the Olympic "transit plan" is BS.

it's going to be such a bitch going to work.

probably more expensive since more people are supposed to be flying in and flying out for the olympics.. at least thats what the propoganda has told me...

see if you can get a deal flying out of seattle or something

It would be significant just because people are coming in and out during the olympics. On a regular reading break it's not that big of a deal because it's only university students who have that time off.

Is higher. My friend works for a travel agency and she said the tickets will be 15-25% higher than usual because of this break.

i checked, going to paris cost $1400 during olympic period. last year it was only 10XX and that was considered (high)

Keep in mind, hotel costs are a lot higher too. Don't forget that Chinese New Years is in parallel with the Olympics so be prepared to pay a premium.
