Anyone bought a car from V.I.B. motor in Richmond Hi all... Any one bought the car from V.I.B. motor in Richmond? I like to buy " Mitsubishi Delica" or "Toyota Hilux Surf" for my courier job. I saw some of them in there but I don't know they are good place to buy a car or not. Or Anyone can give me advise where i can buy those import car? Many thanks for your advise! |
take it to a mechanic. talk to the manager there and they should be able to get a lot boy to bring to a mechanic shop |
V.I.B motor use to be V.I.P motor right? i though that place only rents out exotics |
There's a VIB Motors in Burnaby. Kingsway and Sperling. Some jdm cars there too. I don't have any experience with them.. give them a lookie-loo. |

Horrible sale reps |
Typical used car sales place. I've dealed with them before. They're not as bad as those Kingsway dealers. There's tons of those JDM import dealers around. |
nope, but they look shady. |
there is the hole in the wall mechanic shop that always has mitsubishi delicas out front and being worked on. i'm not sure if they do sales but i did once see a delica a for sale sign at one time... i can't remember the shop name but it's at the intersection of shell and river rd. in rmd. |
If you opt for the Toyota and it's a 2.4L diesel, make sure the head's been checked as they like to crack (or better yet upgraded to the 2.8L head). Also for courier use, you'd be way better off to get the Hilux 4dr. truck over the Surf - way more flexibility. |
My friend was looking into an s2000 from the states at VIB. We checked out the car, and when we put It on the hoist, the lower control arm literally fell off. EPS (power steering) was also fucked. Ended up having to replace the entire rack. Posted via RS Mobile |
My head hurt trying to read the OP's post. As for VIB, my friend had bad experiences there. |
i know the shop where vib richmond takes their cars to get "reconditioned" before sales. i would advise against buying from them. |
so who buys from these shady car dealers if we all feel the same way and are staying away from them |
I would stay away. Their cars aren't the best, and not to mention, their salesman are complete assholes. One of my old co-workers was browsing around there for a car, and asked about a trade in. The sales rep replies in chinese "your car isn't worth jack shit, there is no point in trading it in" |
import your own. you`ll save a ton and there are very reputable people out there who do it. check out fraser valley imports, NK Auto (worked next to him, nice guy) feastauto export (bought my Skyline from him, nothing but good things to say)... Do some research.. and you`ll find what you want. |

So now that it's been two years, anyone have any more experience with these guys? |
Bought my first car there yeaaaars ago! My corolla was fine :D All I know is the owner had some fetish with Mercedes. |
Experience with VIB (No.3 Road across from Yao Han) Was looking at IS250 AWD - sales rep claimed $8k damage. I grabbed the VIN and ran it through ICBC, $18k damage. |
horrible salesman. not only did they fail to sell my mom's sl500 but they also lost a key. |
Dont buy a car from there. Posted via RS Mobile |
