96 civic Hatch

Hey guys

I was wondering is it even worth building up the stock motor in these things?

I was thinking about it but then I might just wait it out till the engine is near death and swap a new motor in.

BTW: For motor swaps, which would be the most bang for my buck?

any advice would be great.

Thx in advance

you really need to search, like on hondatech and stuff
but this is how i look at it:
I know some people that only work on the SOHC D series motor, they say its the best bang for the buck.
and then i know ppl who say that it should be DOHC vtec all the way with a B series.
if you just turbo your D16 with a custom turbo kit, you'll be pushing as much power as a B16 (roughly) but for like half the price.
I say turbo your stock D
but if you really want to swap it, then get a B18c1 GSR motor
just my $0.02. thats what i would of done if i still had my 97 hatch

Thx for the links

I think I'll stick with the D series for now and swap over to a B series sometime in the future
