then i was told only the 6gb is not BIS compatible..
and now today i was told by another dealer it IS compatible

if i remember clearly, the site did have 2 sections for data(one for regular data and one for BIS data)
I would assume from experience that my 6gb data option is STILL not compatible

please explain
is my 6gb data plan that was put onto the account around the end of july2009 compatible with BIS service?

this will make or break my phone purchase..i either stick with n97 or move to a berry

THIS IS FOR FIDO

Why don't you ask your carrier?

Tim Budong 10-29-2009 02:47 AM

I have done that
many times..different answers
stupid fido..

SkinnyPupp 10-29-2009 03:50 AM

Just stick with your n97, it's probably better than any Crapberry anyway

Get a lavender CrackMerry 8520. I hear that colour is really manly this season.

Also, I doubt that the 6GB plan will work with BIS unless they freely migrate you to the BB 6GB plan. From what I've heard before, the plans are separate because of the way data works on BIS, all that compressed shiznit and whatnot. I say keep bugging them on the phone. Get it straight from the horse's (or the dog's, as it were) mouth.

N97 is great, but its time for a change...to another berry
who knos..i just upgraded the n97 software
ah

yes the berry does a much better job handling NHL/NBA scores than the n97

Double-post.

No, its not.

If you want your berry functions to work, you need BB DATA

terkan 10-31-2009 01:34 AM

blackberry data plan and the normal data plan are not compatible~ otherwise there's no need to have 2 different plan option to confuse ppl. from what i've been told the data encryption/compression is different

Tim Budong 10-31-2009 04:03 AM

yea
i figured it out
like i always knew it was on two different plans
until fido.ca posts taht any plan is compatible on BB, so i did some digging, call center have said YES too..them bastards
