Generally, Asians are smaller than Westerners. So generally, fat asians are generally smaller than fat white people. Just like huge ripped asians are generally smaller than huge ripped white people. And average build asians are smaller than average build white people.
I have been living in Hong Kong for almost 4 years now, and believe me, the HK diet is not very good. And there are plenty of fat people here. Just about every man over 35 looks like he's pregnant. And then you get the mainland China people...
People at the supermarket where we live are amazed that someone our age (late 20's/early 30's now) actually buys and prepares real food, instead of doing what all other young couples without maids do (load up on instant noodles and snacks).

Chinese people are smaller/skinnier because of their diet.
at home, the traditional chinese person eats very healthy.
rice, one meat dish (maybe two), the rest vegetables...
and there are hardly left overs because chinese people don't cook a feast.
^ this is the average chinese family imo.
when you go out to eat that is jsut fast food stuff.
no one eats a 10 course meal at home...
it's moderation. but this can be said for any race.
