Use SPB Wireless Monitor, it tracks absolutely every program individually, and all types of connections (even BT and ActiveSync)

iphone plans are out ... starting at $45, but theres SAF, 911, which all addes up to like 60+

SkinnyPupp 11-04-2009 03:43 AM

This sounds scary:

"500 MB of data for personal email, Internet browsing "

Does that mean that standard data transfer is counted separately?

+Kardboard+ 11-04-2009 11:36 AM

Another reason they launched today, other than to spite Telus: Bell's the official phone sponsor (lawllzz) of the 2010 Games, and it's precisely 100 days until the Olympics, eh?

k2_alpha 11-04-2009 01:27 PM

just to let you all know, if you already have a phone that is HSPA compatible, you get 20% off the price plan for three years. keep in mind that you do have to sign for three years. but 20% off for 36 months.

willystyle 11-04-2009 02:11 PM

Why does it still say 302880 on my iPhone if the Bell network is active?

Source?

The plans look mediocre, not as good as I expected.

It means Bell needs to learn how to activate the alphacodes on their switch.

+Kardboard+ 11-04-2009 05:51 PM

It means Bell is 1337, or rather, 8311.

Then can you explain the awkward wording of all the data plans? They seem to specify web browsing and email only. I know there are plans that only count data in certain applications at a significantly reduced cost. Are all Bell plans like that? Or is it just really poorly worded?

Only phone I would consider from Bell is the Samsung omnia II. Wonder if they even have stock on that phone yet.

there is plenty of it.

in regards on the weird wording,

data limit covers everything

if a plan states 2g of data.
then the 2g is for everything. the words on the bottom are only examples.

The damn news keep misleading me. Keep saying they haven't released the phone yet. I haven't gone into the store itself to check it out.

Thanks for the heads up!

it doesn't state include or exclude tethering.. so they might be doing what fido is doing ~ let u guys tether for a while.. and later on change it if u want tethering u pay extra fee

i am not sure about the "regular" data plans. (blackberry, PDA)

however, the iPhone plans do include tethering.
the limit is for the combine total of browsing on iPhone and computer

If you're not sure, you better find out. I'd be pretty pissed if I was your client, and got fucked in the ass by ridiculous fees.

k2_alpha 11-05-2009 04:15 PM

no tethering for regular data plans.
only for iPhone plans

SkinnyPupp 11-05-2009 05:21 PM

OK that's fucking stupid then.
