^Nope.. Rogue does not use the same FM platform as the Z/G37/EX35 car..
Similar to how the Audi Q5 is based on a stretched A4 platform, and not from the VW Tiguan (based on the Golf platform)

Posted via RS Mobile | Fair enough, but you can't even mount a trailer hitch to a G/EX. You can do the same on a A4/Q5/328i/X3. I'm not saying to use your EX to tow, but it'd be nice if you can add a trailer hitch "rack" for mtn bikes and snowboards.

Recently Nissan USA announced a new Krom package for the Rogue with new "stylish" bumpers and centered exhaust pipes. The rear looks cool but the exhaust gets in the way of a trailer hitch. This is another example of sacrificing function for style, style is great but the Rogue is only pushing 170hp. At least the EX35 has a V6 but it's a shame what you mentioned about the trailer scenario, what gives? Posted via RS Mobile |

when shopping for the fx, I test drive the ex, the sales told me the ex is targeted for middle age mom. That explains the whole trailer hitch situation.

Rogue is based on the C-platform, same as Sentra... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_C_platform
For all those EX35 haters out there, I own a Nissan Rogue and love it but I would trade it in a heartbeat for a EX35, they are so nice but was double my budget. Infinity/Skyline whatever-you-call-it EX35 FTW!!!

Rogue is nice for its price.. For the price of a base Impreza, you get a mini-SUV with decent fuel economy (CVT) + AWD.
I'm still a bigger fan of the old X-Trail. Giant panaroof, reclining rear seats that fold perfectly flat, and i love the heated/chilled cup/bottle holders upfront. I came pretty close to buying an SE 5spd manual (very rare) model until I looked closely at the fender panels (didn't seem to match)..

ex is a weird niche, infiniti might as well just scrap the ex and turn it in to a wagon.
fx + qx already fills most suv needs

i havent been to a dealership to check one one, ive just seen them on the street. do you think that the EX35 has less trunk/cargo space than my Rogue?
It looks like it, here's info from Nissan and Infiniti's sites... Capacity / Rogue / EX35
Interior pass vol / 3579L / 2506L
Cargo vol (seats up) / 818 / 527
Cargo vol (seats down) / 1639 / not listed
Yeah so it looks like the EX has didly squat for cargo space and Infiniti failed to list the cargo volume with the seats down (for a reason?). Also throw in the fact that towing is possible with the Rogue and not with the EX, when driving an EX one has the limitations of sports car but the look of a CUV, isn't that backwards? It's really a shame since the EX has a great looking exterior and a luxurious interior. I also like the ride height on the EX but also find it a bit strange... I'm looking forward to grabbing some H&R Sport Springs for my Rogue to bring it down a couple inches to about the same height as the EX, since Infiniti made the EX with a low stock ride height they really weren't wanting any of their clients to ever drive the thing off the road... seems like the last nail in the coffin for the EX, please don't call it a CUV because it truly is a stretched out low end sports car.

both ex and fx's trunk space really suffer due to its curvy backend. rogue is actually not a bad cuv, I didn't test drive one but I let my dog jump on the demo car to see the trunk space and my 110 pound dog is able to manuever himself around quite well where as the ex he has to pretty much stay in one position and block the whole rear window.
All I'm saying is you should be glad you brough the rogue instead of the ex, cause if you did buy the ex you would probably enjoy it for a few month than wonder why you didn't just buy g sedan or went for a fx. doesn't help that you will pretty much only see soccer moms driving that thing.
btw there is H&r springs and CAI kit for the ex available now but thats irrelevant.
