If you are on Rogers and have the 6gb data plan, just call into CSR ask for tech support and tell them to add APN3 to your account usually, the techsupport guy will say no and transfer you to a customer service rep from here request the APN3, they will say no or make up some excuse, but tell them that Tech Support forwarded the call to him/her and was instructed for them to add it on thats pretty much it. Very straight forward stuff. Quote:
If you want to use the browser, its minimum $25 for the data plan |
Whoa! I so want one of these suckers for my 9700! :haha: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZ8gz...layer_embedded |
^^ finally! |
Wow 69.99 isn't expensive at all! it's induction charging, so most skins/cases shouldn't have a problem with charging. |
So I bought a 9700 off a guy on CL and everything was going fine until like i said earlier, the menu button felt mushy with no feedback and a dead pixel was found. After a month you have to deal with Rogers on the phone for warranty as the first 30 days is done through the store. I couldn't meet up with the seller in time to meet me at the store he bought it from so I was going to settle for a refurb. I just phoned yesterday and since there were 0 refurbs in the warehouse shes sending me a brand new one, awesome! Thing is, they dont send them with new batteries? Weird. I got my blacked out housing a few weeks ago along with the new top cover. I'll post pics as soon as I get the new phone and install the new pieces. Anyone else buy the black housing and get pics? BTW: I left the RS BB group and noticed my phone is alot snappier now especially after taking it out of the holster. |
I just had a question about the T-mobile 9700, so they only run on 2G here in canada? or they dont work with Rogers? Im so confused cuz it says they do have 3G but dont work here?? I was planning on buying a T-mobile 9700 but now im kind of undecided weather to just go with one thats not t-mobile, any suggestions? |
Well, t-mobile will work with rogers, but because the t-mobile bold 9700 hardware does not have the canada 3g frequencies, it will only register to edge. If u want 3g, u will need a rogers, telus, bell, or at&t version of the bold. Posted via RS Mobile |
Keep in mind, you will have to unlock the t-mobile device as well. Posted via RS Mobile |
edge is pretty slow tho.. guess i have to keep hunting! |

Will I have access to 3G if I'm on Fido with an unlocked 9700? I'm on a 1gb data plan currently using an unlocked Javelin. Sorry if this has been answered. |
