How does the 9700 compare to the bold? Thats one thing I love about the 9000, the speakerphone is wicked

i messed up my charger for my 9700 and i was wondering if i could use my old motorlla q8h charger which is the same size(mini usb).will this affect my 9700 battery life or anything like that or should i just go and buy another charger for the 9700

look at the usb port on the phone more carefully, yes its a mini usb port, but not the typical mini usb type. it has more of an "rounded" shape rather than the mini usb "square" shape.

It worked find in HK on SmartoneVodafone..once i changed it back to their APN settings
i come back and now i changed it back to fido's settings with hope that they fixed it

just reregister/send service books and have internet.fido.ca on APN

altho i did this 5times with no luck...

Anyone gone from the 9000 to 9700 but wish they didn't? Time for a hardware upgrade for me.. Coming from the 8300 curve, I'm quite torn between the two bolds.

it's not disabled in the options. I've tried making it "network determined" and "never"

I have a question to you guys who changed your face plate/chrome part. Can I use my OEM Top Cover (the piece that says blackberry) on the new face plate? Is it an easy bolt on?

If buy the top cover you're going to need to use glue or a soldering iron to melt the tabs to lock the cover on to the housing. The stock one on your chrome piece now is already melted down making it even harder. Best to buy a new top cover and melt it down yourself again.

or buy the trims that already have the top cover on.

I haz a questions for you guiz

1) Im using a 9000, I want all the data from my 9000 to be on my 9700 (not purchased yet)
So do I just need to create a backup ipd file of my 9000, then plug in the 9700 and hit restore?

2) I'm buying an unlocked bell 9700. The guy is using it with rogers. To release the pin he'd have to call bell, right?

3) Its possible to use iphone data on a blackberry?! :eek:
