Anybody else's bezel click around the edges? Mine clicks when pressed near the end call button and its driving me nuts

my whole silver trim on the right is loose.
i can lift up the trim with a finger nail.

^When he did the swap was your trim and all other parts snug?
Meaning no clicks/creaking of any sort?

there is creaking on the keypad
but this is expected on all third party keypads
i had no clicks on the trim and all that tho

I got the same problem here except mines on the end and send keys, both sides creak, I have friends who have the same problem and the thing all our 9700's have in common is 1) they are all Rogers, and 2) they are all made in mexico. People that I know that have bell and telus models are made in either Ontario, or China if I'm not mistaken. Another problem I have is that my screen is misalligned at the top with the upper part of the housing :( it doesn't really bother me though because the fone still kicks ass and it works absolutely fine, I cudnt be happier with the actual fone itself but if you pay $500+ for a phone it definately should be assembled with the best quality, oh well maybe the next model rim makes they won't make the same mistake :D

Damn misaligned screen?! Jeez, if you bought that from Rogers I'd warranty that right away! The clicking I can deal with, but if I had a leaning trackpad or misaligned screen I'd bitch like no tomorrow

I did not buy the phone from Rogers otherwise yah I would of bitched like no tomorrow, I got it off CL brand new in box sealed, I just resigned with fido on 3yr data they sent me a free iphone 3gs I sold that the same day and bought the 9700 with the money so it was pretty much free that's why I can liv with it, if It ever fucks up brutally I guess I gotta pay to fix it, but so far iv had no internal problems, :thumbsup: only build quality issues

Good point, but thats still money that you had to spend. When you say your screen is misaligned, do you mean the actual LCD itself? or the glossy black piece isnt even with the LCD covering?

In regards to Telus/Bell phones being better built, this has to be a myth. My friend is on Telus, and his is no better than mine

Sadly in today's up and rising wireless plateform, its tough to not follow trends. I mean blackberry is focusing heavily on consumer friendly devices

fuckkkk my 9700 trackpad is loose as hell, i can hear the click when i slowly slide it down and the fuckin thing crashed on me twice adn froze on me once.

I went back to t-booth where I got it from and they said that its not a defect that some were made differently. But I checked most of my buddies and their 9700s have solid trackpads! Ive had it for exactly 15days today, can I ask them to replace me with a new one?

i miss my 9000 so much

My 9700 doesnt recognize that i plugged in earphones sometimes :(
