Anyone running on frimware v5.0.0.554? I saw on the Rogers website saying its the latest one. What are the changes on it?

just ordered the matte black bezel from sw-box. Hopefully I dont get a crappy one haha and I hope it ships fast!

V5.0.0.554 is the handheld software, which consists of v5.0.0.351. Its essentially the same

the latest official software from a Canadian carrier would be through Bell. The handheld version is v5.0.0.922

I went to .405 (ATT) and .545. They were both not working with one of my apps, so I'm back to .415 which works perfect for me.

i was over in the states this pass weekend and i found my phones reception was under SOS and in red in the reception part of the screen, what does that mean?

my friend who has the exact same bold was able to connect to EDGE
and mine said something about only able to make emergency calls?

anyone know what the problem with mine could be?

just a network error. i had that a few times last week when i was out in Langley. it kept switching from EDGE--GPRS--SOS

In the US, your either on Tmobile or ATT, if your on Tmobile, there is no 3G
ATT is crap down in washington state which explains the reason why the phone is stuggling to find signal

Just got mine today off another RS member, upgrading from a 8900.

Loving the new trackpad.

Already ordered a new Epik resin case and privacy screen protector.

However, those morons at Roger's Retentions didn't save the changes for my new plan that includes data, now I have to call them up again, ridiculous.

WTF I just realized my Menu/Escape key top part cracked! WTF!

Btw, how do you do screen capture lol. I installed capture it 1.4 and it only captures blank images. Lame!

lol count how many times it takes to get data working for u.
it took me 3 calls and 1 live support to get data working WITH BIS.

my F button is broken! i have to click it really hard for it to type consistently. Since I bought the phone from Bell and am using it in HK, what's the best possible route to go to get it fixed? Thanks!

What was the process for getting BIS to work? This is my first data plan.

To get BIS to work you need to do that and then call in and apply a SOC? Code it was. That's what I did. Once you do it you won't need to do it again and the data will still work on all phones.

Anyone have problems when opening texts? Sometimes I can't open them and it takes a while. I'm on .586.

Hey bud, don't know what that is, it activates when my new billing period (APR 10) but at this moment I have no idea how any of it works.

If on rogers, call in and ask data to add apn3con to ur data
If on fido or telus or bell, then u gotta change to berry compatible plan.
