hey guys, I have a AT&T 9700 that's being shipped to me right now.
I totally forgot the craziness I had with the "sim toolkit error" on the AT&T 9000 i had before.

I was able to unbrand the 9000 to get rid of the sim toolkit error and got 3G working on fido sim.
Now I think the AT&T 9700 i'm getting will have the same issue but I think there is currently no way to unbrand the 9700 right?

Will changing to another firmware and deleting the vendor.xml fix it?

Please help me out guys!!!

^What day did they say they shipped it out? I'm still waiting for mine, when I check my email, it says that they shipped it on Apr 5. When I check the HK post tracking site it says that it only left HK on the 10th :(

anyone else have problems after themeing their phones then having it run reallly slow?
i tried batt pull after applying theme and no dice.

so all my data options just randomly decided to stop workin :( i got a unlocked rogers 9700 on fido, i have never had ne problems with it until now :( iv done all the battery pulls taken it to JP and he said that i was missing service books, tried sending service books thru BIS, also tried Host Routing Table method by selecting register now, called fido they said everything was good on their end, done like 20 battery pulls stil no luck, im really upset with this sitatution so im resorting to you guys for help, internet browser works with wifi on, im able to send/recieve calls, and txt msgs but no bbm, email, or internet browser with wifi off, i know this is a long shot iv tried just about everything for the last 5 days so any help would be greatly appreciated.................

Just ran into my first bug

bbm notification icon is stuck at the top of my homescreen

tried battery pulls, extended battery pulls, deleted all chat logs, searched for all unopened messages, reinstall bbm (didn't downgrade).

guess i'll wait till a new OS comes out and it'll get rid of the problem hopefully.

I'm interested in a group buy but maybe we should do one with ZAGG? I heard theirs a 50% promo as well, doesn't matter to me though.

I'm in on the group buy but i just want the 2-pack Screen Skin for 6.99

They both have great return/refund/warranty policies.

Lots of users from CB have said theirs have been delayed in the mail, asked BSE to send another one since it probably got lost in the mail, and they sent another without hesitation, ended up getting 2 skins as well.

They've also mentioned that there is less " orange peeling ", PERFECT fitment relative to zagg.

Ultimately, same materials but cheaper as well.

7.99 compared to 19.99 ( then +50% off still makes it more expensive)

Tombile 9700 runs 1700AWS

Yes, different 3G bands.
If you want to use 3G with Rogers/Fido get the AT&T
If you want to use 3G with Wind get the T-mobile.
If you don't plan on using 3G just get whatever carrier one as long as it's unlocked.

For opera, did you download from the mobile site?

What are the advantages of using Opera or another 3rd party browser over the default 9700 browser? Are they really that much faster? The default browser seems pretty good to me (I don't browse that much though).
