the native browser is much improved.

but from what i've read, opera mini has MUCH better data compression, so it loads faster and there's less data usage?

the only thing keeping me from using opera mini is how the shortcuts are not very "intuitive" like how the native browser has " r" for reload and "h" for home.

If anyone else is interested in the BSE group buy and saving a little bit on shipping, let me know asap, ordering tonight!

I have unlocked Rogers phone on Fido. I called Fido and the lady on the phone did a reset on my data plan or something. I just had to turn off my phone. When it came on it again my data worked. Just say you're using a blackberry.

Anyone having battery issues with the phone?

My battery used to go a long time without having the need to charge now it gets to the red at around 10pm. Don't really know whether or not I'm just using it too much but it doesn't seem like it.

Also when I take it out of my pocket sometimes or after it's just sitting there it gets pretty hot without me doing anything to it.

Got my bezel today!

Gonna slap it on now

edit: damn I accidently destroyed the warranty sticker was trying to take it off with care but then that didn't work haha.

Does rogers still take it in if I replace the bezel to the original one?

-paolo- : a day too late it's already been ordered lol. pm me if you're looking for buyers for that bodyguardz though.

Forbiddenx: once warranty sticker is tampered with, warranty is voided.

^hmm yea I know the warranties voided but do they actually check it?

I like the black bezel a lot better than the chrome one.

I've switched parts from donor refurb models atleast 3 times now as long as you remove it carefully you should be good to go.

blow dryer + exacto knife/tweezers and place it onto wax paper?

as simple as it sounds though, from my 8900, they smartly had these precuts on the warranty sticker. two unique "shapes" other than the circlular warranty sticker itself, that way if you did remove it, you'd have to align the 3 pieces together perfectly.

blowdry would "soften" the sticky adhesive on the sticker making it easier to peel it off.

looking through other BB forums for sites with app downloads other than the limited selection from appworld/CB

I just used an exacto blade and slowly went around the edges going as parallel to the screw as possible. If you rip it go the other way. Even if you tear it a bit u can re apply later and make it look seamless.

I basically had a flawless 9700 with a quiet vib motor (literally couldn't tell it was vibbing if u held it in your hand next to your ear) but the left convience key stopped working and my headphone jack port registered the headset being plugged in all the time which pissed me off. So I requested a warranty phone and did the mepd test to try all the features before surgery. The vib motor sounded like I was killing a cat. So I opened up the new phone and took out the side button clicker and the headphone port. Swapped em to my old 9700 and sending the donor one back. The QA on these things suck ASS compared to my trusty 9000. Wary of buying the next Bold till people report it as being flawless.

hey guys,

My emails are all delayed about 10-20min.
Is this normal?
Is there anything I can do/tweak to receive my emails almost instantly?

your push interval should be set to 15 minutes, which means it fetches the emails every 15 minutes.

if you decrease interval time, say to 5 minutes, you'll drain your battery a lot faster. I'm sure you can adjust it, I personally haven't looked into it though.

I received my Carbon Fibre battery cover but decided to get a full housing that will include another battery cover to match it.

just looking to get back what I paid for it, it's in mint condition brand new, $SOLD

exactly like this one, perfect fitment
