Ahh gotcha awesome. yeah I got it reversed. Bellus doesnt have a 2G network but their 3G network is alot bigger than Rogers I read. So essentially its the same with all carriers. Awesome

Always is, but I read that T-Mobile's frequency is wonky or something...
Might be the UK T-Mobile

wouldn't the internals of the phone be the same? Maybe its their network, and not the phone.

http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/...erry-Bold-9700

I was checking the t-mobile site, looks like their 9700 runs on:
850 MHz;900 MHz;1800 MHz;1900 MHz;UMTS: Band IV (1700/2100)

so the GSM bands will work for rogers/fido, but their 3G bands won't.

^^
Damn, didn't realize that the 3G bands didn't match. There goes my plan to pick one up from T-Mobile.

I'll have to wait till AT&T releases it, later this month.

Just find one from Bell.
The unlock costs more since it's double locked, but it's worth the unbranded piece haha

^Not bad. For reference im getting:

200 mins

Early evenings at 6 and free weekends.

My voice is 20$ and my BB data is 35, early evenings is 5$ but I get 20$ in credits a month due to retentions.

tried installing opera mini on my 9700, but the install failed every time. did some research but couldn't get it to work. had to delete it. the error had something to do with communicating with the opera server

Those are Unbranded, OEM, direct from RIM. Voice/Data compatible w/ Bell/Telus/Rogers/Fido/AT&T.

Email is part of 500mb, whats your point..?
