Even though everyones saying the torch sucks I'll probably still pick it up probably not right away but soon after the release. I've been wanting a blackberry for quite sometime and I don't feel like waiting until dec for the 9780 or which ever. And I'm not goin to even bother considering that new curve 2mp cam you serious lol, and the 9000 and 9700 are sick phones there old and I really don't feel like using my upgrade for an old ass phone

I installed the theme using desktop manager, everything went through, i restarted the bb and did the battery pull, in my theme, it is not there?? what happened

I think you're suppose to put the theme in the "themes" directory on your berry, when you connect it.

Well, the file is the extension of axl, I used blackberry desktop manager in order to add it as a program into the Blackberry, just at the end that I can't find it in my theme, it said it's installed in my bb, just can't seen to find it :(

It either has a time-based password enabled lock. Or you push " k " when your "dial from homescreen" is disabled.

Anything new in the BBM 5.0.138? Worth upgrading?

If you use chat bubbles on BBM, they look slightly different. They changed the menu a bit I think. You can add a subject to chat windows. There is a slight lag now when you open the BBM chat messages. Thats all I really noticed.

Like stated, bubbles are different.
that's the biggest difference, but I don't have lag whatsoever on my 9000 when I open chats on BBM
other than that nothing else really noticable, just the menu is slightly changed

You can edit the names of your contacts to something more easily recognizable etc as well

I'm thinking about blacking out my 9700. Should I order the blacked out bezel with the keyboard or without the keyboard?

I'll be ordering from sw-box if anyone was wondering.. Anyone have experiences with the OEM keyboard compared to sw-boxes?

well so fucking customer relations sent me the black one instead of the white one I was promised. I called in this morning and the rep said it wasn't in stock. I bitched because I was told on Thursday that I would be getting the white one by tomorrow at the latest. Now I have to refuse the package, wait til they get it back and enter it back in stock and then reorder the white one that's not in stock :( :mad::2finger:

Sounds like another long ass wait.. If that were ever to happen to me I'd just keep it and live with it or see craigslist/rs if there's anyone willing to trade a brand new white one

Yes but I want the white one, I'm only paying $99 for it and don't want to pay anything else, and being up here there is less chance of me finding someone who would straight out trade me. :( Thanks for the suggestion though :)

just a heads-up

the new BlackBerry App World is now out. I think you can download through your desktop manager, or else, just google "BlackBerry App World" on your phone, and you should have links to download it. It works well (I found the old one glitchy), and also allows you to update the Facebook App to the newer 1.8 (which works waaay better, even if the interface still sucks)

9700 OS6 looks promising
