Would you get rogers warranty for this phone? Just curious as some friend had glitches with his. Rogers warranty also covers physical damage to some extent but I'm pretty good at taking care of phones. Its the other stuff I"m wondering about |

really disliking Rogers right now. I STILL don't have my phone and sept 2 will be 3 weeks since I ordered it... I did a hardware upgrade with customer relations almost 3 weeks ago. Asked for a certain colour of phone and two days later the other colour (not what I ordered) was sent out. I called cs to find out what I could do and they told me to refuse the package. I did so when the package came in and saw it was delivered back to Rogers August 23. I call to find out when the phone will be taken off my account so I can get a new one and I am told even though it shows delivery to Rogers they have lost the phone and until they can find it, it will stay on my account. I am told a trace will be put on this and it should take 24-48 hours before it's removed. I have called every day since and keep being told every day a trace or escalation trace will have to be put on. It seems like no one there knows what they are doing and other than a rep I spoke to saturday no one seems to want to do anything about this. It's very annoying that almost 3 weeks since I ordered a phone I still don't have it. This all started because the colour I wanted wasn't in stock.. Which the customer relations rep neglected to advise or I would've just done a hardware upgrade in store |

well..ok i'd call back...and make the statement firm that you NEED the phone now and have nothing to use, and simply make it clear that its their problem and they need to work a solution out to give you a phone now.. i can bet that they'll send you a phone immediately, and get charged the full amount for the phone, which will be credited when they find your old phone.. or if you're a good enough negotiator, the manager will just override the upgrade and give you a white one at the upgrade price now.. |
I've tried saying this and they're like oh well you can go into a store and get a loaner phone :S I was on the phone for an hour and a half on saturday with a customer relations rep who was trying to help me out (she even got her mgr) trying to help me out cause it's like I'm being penalized and I did shit all but apparently only track and trace can do anything and when I tried getting through to them apparently their system was upgrading so no one could do anything. I tried calling yesterday to them and fucker transfered me to cs and the cs reps system was down and wouldn't be back up and running until about 7 and cust relations closes at 6 I have received about $100 in credits but I am so annoyed and just want my fucking phone. I will def be going into a store when they get in stock but I need it removed of account first. :( |
^but make sure retentions didn't offer you a special price though cos if they did you won't get the same price if you go to a store |
^^ hahaha yeah right, they're giving it to me for $99 as everyone else. but thanks for the info :) |

Go with sw-box.com Extremely fast shipping [with the cheap option lol] Here's a tutorial on how to take apart the 9700 and switch the housing: You'll also need a prying tool [thats the blue tool in the video] to take the phone apart altogether. You can get it from eBay for a dollar. http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_npm...=m570&_nkw=pry You'll also need a T6/T5 screw driver, but you can order them from sw-box [with your purchase] for 30 cents. |
2011 release of OS6 for older devices like the 9700? Daym by then the next Torch will probably be near release too.. Posted via RS Mobile |
