Try going to the messages and then go "mark prior opened" and see if it removes the icon

I've finally got my e mails set up and there working but I'm wondering if its possible to load existing e mails from your inbox onto your phone? Is there a way to do that?

Also is OS 6 out for the 9700? And how do you check if you've got a latest things like facebook/bbm/os?

Thanks, sorry for all the question still sorta a bb noob.....

you can usually check through Blackberry App world, it will give you the latest version for free and paid apps. App world will give you notification if there was an update for any apps you have.

9780, what can i say it is a great phone, even though it is a just a refreshed device from its neighbor the 9700.

The speed and snappiness of this phone is drastically faster than the 9700 due to the double ram and the OS6 out of box with no bugs to be found.

I barely see that damn hour glass on it anymore , used to get it alot but then again i had over like 50000 text messages since i had the 9700 in Feb.

The battery life is yet to be determined as i've only had it for a day.

I bought the phone off Futureshop at StationSquare next to metro, they weren't suppose to give it to me without a plan, luckily i got it though or else that would of be a waste of a drive :P 560 after tax from 499.99.

I mean you don't really need the upgrade from the 9700 to the 9780, 9780 is merely as i stated before is an upgrade for people who don't already own a 9700. But if you have the extra money laying around why not ? .

Comes loaded with the basic instant messaging apps; Facebook, Myspace, WLM, Google Talk, AIM, twitter and Yahoo. Social feed has all of those apps combined with easy access to the latest feeds on them and RSS feeds.

Browser feels away smooth and faster and wifi definitely locks faster than 9700. Scrolling through the tabbed home screen is very fast and has no lag.

For the camera i will take a picture with 9700 and 9780 to show the difference, very snappy as well as soon it takes the picture it shows you the preview (if you have option on) right away. I don't know if you will see the difference but here are the two.

9780 camera
Spoiler!

9700 camera
Spoiler!

And if you are undecided between the 9780 and the 9800.. Personally i would rather get the 9780 as i know some people have switched from the 9700 to the 9800 and to 9780 because they feel that the 9700/9780 is a way better device , and they hated the touch screen :P I really started hating the touch screens after my HTC diamond then to the Iphone , i felt that i needed a physical qwerty keyboard to type , kept making mistakes when i was texting. Now when i text , i don't even have to look on the keyboard since i have got so used to it. I don't think i will switch out of blackberrys, love them too much and can't live without bbm

All i can say is that the 9780 is great and i love it, until the next device from blackberry cough cough rumor a bold with touch screen comes out, it is what i will stick with

Anyone having this problem with 6OS on BB9700?

When you send text messages(SMS) it has a red clock next to it and it doesn't send for a LONG ass time. It's the same with WhatsApp messages. I would just "Turn off all connections" and wait a few seconds then turn it back on. Then the messages would all send. Weird...
