Hey guys. My iphone 4 got stolen last week so I decided to pick up a bold. In fact I'm typing with It right now! What do I need to know about it? Is there like a jailbreak or whatever or does blackberry not need it? Where can I download fonts and which font do you guys recommend? Where can I download themes and how do I install them? Thanks if help is possible. Hope I made the right choice for picking up a bb. I can type fast but my hand get cramps haha

There's no jailbreak as you can download and install any 3rd party app, I do not believe that you can get new fonts, but you can change the font by going options>screen/keyboard, and there's many sites where you can download themes from, i recommend downloading through blackberry app world or just find them and download them OTA through 3rd party sites.

There isn't really a "Cydia" for BlackBerries, but here's a site [not sure if I'm allowed to post it, but link can be removed if asked by a mod] that you can download FREE paid apps from BlackBerry App World:

A very simple and clean theme that shows off your wallpaper. I've tried other themes, but I have always come back to this theme.

To install themes, open the OTA link that you want within your BlackBerry browser or Opera Mini.

loving the blackberry interface.. very fast and smooth.. only thing that really pisses me off is the loading times :/ i love the calendar i dont believe any calander out there is better!
right now the only cons about the bb is the loading speeds and lack of development in bb's.. but i guess i can live without the games and widgets.. ...for now... LOL..
picked up another iphone 4.. but the bb will always be in the car as a backup phone..

edit: actually thinking about it, i might use the iphone as the backup.. the bb compresses the data.. the iphone is more for an enterntainment use..

I believe you're on OS5 right now correct? You can upgrade to OS6 if you'd like, however OS6 doesn't have any supported themes, so you're stuck with a screen like this:

I personally prefer OS6 over OS5 even if it means I can't change the theme. The good outweighs the bad :)

If you ever loaded os5 onto a 9000 its the same process. Just delete the vendor file and you're good to go.
