Your themes won't work for OS6 cause there's no theme creator and the themes you have are only compatible with OS5.

Your apps will still be there if you do a backup in Desktop Manager or BBSAK.

So essentially I missed my monday class where the prof was going over what might be on the exam. Someone from my class told me what was on it, and when I sit down to study today, I notice that the conversation is missing. What's even worse is he's no longer my contact WHICH DELETES MY FUCKING CONVERSATION WITH HIM. I figured, his BB was stolen, because I called him and his phone was off. This is definetly the stupidest feature on bbm. Why does it delete a conversation I had with someone.

Fucking bunk as fuck.. My phone still has memory leaks after I used the Rogers OS6 -__-

i have a bb 9000 and its on OS4 but i read there is OS5 that is available but it won't let me update from my desktop. Saying that its not on blackberry service and I dont have data as well

Just update it manually through BBSAK.

Updating from desktop has the shittiest and laggiest versions. Do it manually.

So you downloaded the OS? Now just open it and install it to your computer. This is so BBSAK will recognize the OS when you open it. It won't recognize it cause you haven't installed the OS yet.

Here's some better steps:

Downloaded BBSAK. Loaded everything. Cannot detect phone.

...Did you connect your phone to the USB then try opening BBSAK? lol

If not your phone probably isn't on mass storage mode. There should be a pop up on your phone when you connect it that says "mass storage mode is not turned on, would you like to turn it on?" or something like that?

It's supposedly in mass storage mode already when I set it :S

Awesome to hear. Just make sure you do some battery pulls once in a while after the OS upgrade. It allows the battery to settle in.

Log out of your Facebook account.

Look for the unopen facebook in message icon. The fonts should be bolded from others.

You only have to download a leaked OS if you want to upgrade...so it's up to you. I don't think Fido has ever officially released an OS :lol . So to answer your question you have to download a leaked OS if you want to upgrade your phone

On a side note...whats with people without the 9700 posting in the 9700 thread? lol

Tried that and then battery pull and still nothing :( although last time it finally went away on its own after a couple days :s

just bought a used 9700 today :D
its an unlocked mobilicity running os 6 and im on fido but the carrier says "302-720". it doesnt affect how the phone works but its just weird to see.. anyone know why?

^^thats normal because you are using unlocked phone. if you get a newer sim card it should say fido. my advice is sell the mobilicity one as you cant use 3g. buy a rogers/bell/telus 9700 and have it unlocked for free at www.freemyblackberry. com
