Hey, Can anyone help me with this charging problem ? I just replaced my 9000 couple days ago with this used 9700. Both my 9000 & 9700 are having similar charging problems. I would wake up and find them not charged overnight but when I plug them back in in the morning via computer/usb, it would work fine. I am using the same USB cable & an A/C Adapter for the wall charging. Both are brand new. As I am typing now, I plugged the phone back into the wall outlet and it is charging fine right now. It just wont charge overnight.

Would a cradle/dock help ? Thanks !

You're probably "over-charging" it/your USB ports don't supply enough power.

I recommend that you charge it with the wall charger overnight rather than USB charging it. USB charging fails most of the time, and I don't rely on it.

That's what I'm doing, charging it overnight with the wall-charger but it won't charge for some reason. It was 40% when I went to bed and I woke it with it at "too low for radio use"
I still have it plugged in right now charging through the wall charger and it's working. :confused:

It sounds like its a problem with your wall charger then.

Plug it into BB desktop manager and load a new firmware onto it, you can download the firmwares from Crackberry.com

mine just went bonkers. getting random white screen with vertical lines. Did a google search and seems there is no real solution except replacement. It still works most of the time and a few button presses gets rid of the issue, but I was looking to switch phones anyway.

solution 1 - reinstall new OS (worked for me)
